What is an active user?

An active user is defined as follows:

1. A user who is in a program with their connection settings set to active.
2. A user who is in a coffee maker program.

If a user is part of multiple teams under the same billing account that have matching or coffee maker enabled, they are counted as a single active user.

Additionally, when a user is no longer a member of any connection or Coffee Maker programs, they will no longer be considered an active user.

Do you offer a free trial?

Yes, you can install the bot right into teams without purchasing a subscription. You can match up to 24 users in one program for free, forever.

We also offer a 14-day free trial for our Pro plan so you can match larger teams.

Is the subscription billed monthly or annually?

We offer both monthly and annual subscriptions. If you upgrade from monthly to annually midway through your billing cycle, you will receive a credit for your next cycle.

You can cancel your current plan at any time. You will still have access to the platform and matching for the duration of that cycle. After that billing cycle ends, you will not be charged again. We do not offer refunds on payments already made.

I only want to pay for my team and not the whole organization.

Absolutely! Create an account on the subscriptions page of the dashboard. This account will only count the programs that you create as part of your active users, ensuring you’re only paying for your team.

Do nonprofits and educational institutions get special pricing?

We offer discounts for educational institutions and nonprofits. Please contact us at support@coffeepals.com to get details on this offering.

Will I automatically get upgraded if I exceed my plan's user limit?

On the Pro Plan, your account will automatically move to the next pricing tier if you go beyond the set user limit.

On the Starter Plan (free), you'll receive a notification if you exceed the user limit, without being automatically upgraded.

For annual Pro Plan subscribers, any upgrade is prorated to align with the end of your current billing cycle. If you later reduce your user count, a credit will be applied to your account for future use.

What happens if the number of team members exceeds 24 while on the Starter Plan?

CoffeePals will only match the first 24 people that join the team. The platform will continue to match those people and send you notice that you have exceeded the Starter Plan limit.

Do I need to input credit card info for the free trial?

Start your free trial of the Pro Plan without a credit card! Simply create a subscription through the CoffeePals dashboard to get started.

What are the next steps for getting the Enterprise plan?

Our annual enterprise contracts start at 500 users and $15,000 per year.
